In 2007 Tony founded SPInc, the forerunner of LMD, as a Professional Marketing and Distribution business for Banks and Structured Product manufacturers who wanted to target Independent Financial Advisers across the UK. Tony, formerly founder and MD of Zurich Independent Wealth Management, has a well-established career in financial services sales and management. Following a personal secondment to the Zurich Banking Group, he recognised an important gap in the area encompassing product design, development, and marketing and developed SPInc to address this need. SPInc  worked closely with the Zurich Banking Group, to exclusively manage and deliver its distribution across the UK over the next five years.

During this time SPInc raised in excess of £300 million of retail deposits for Zurich Bank, by pioneering a strategy for individual Structured Term Deposit accounts focussed on Pension Funds, On-shore and Off-shore Bonds, Trusts, Corporate investors, Charities, Clubs, Societies, Local Authorities and wealthy individuals.

Jan’s career encompasses Sales & Sales Management positions in IFA Intermediary Sales, primarily with Provident Mutual & Zurich Intermediary Group. Jan recognised a gap in the market created by ever-rising distribution costs, which are biting hard for even the largest Financial Services businesses. She was instrumental in the development of the LMD business model. This offers an efficient & profitable alternative; by outsourcing Distribution for Banks, niche Structured Product Manufacturers & Discretionary Fund Managers. The business model is well-proven & offers a cost-efficient & effective face-to-face marketing interface with the IFA Intermediary market both in the UK & Off-shore.

Patrick has extensive Sales Management experience in IFA Intermediary Sales, both Regionally & Nationally, with Zurich Intermediary Group. In recent years he used this experience to Consult in wider related areas: from sophisticated personal & business tax planning, to marketing products to financial advisors overseas, & developing the role of telephone-based service propositions highlighting the benefits of social media. His experience in developing & marketing products which provide value to IFA  businesses, whilst managing costs, is invaluable. A key strength is in providing efficient, compliant & customer-focused service propositions that meet the demands of retail distribution both in the UK and off-shore.
